Marek was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania – a shelter that took the hands of patient rescuers to recover from – Marek wouldn’t want anything to do with the other dogs at the rescue and would isolate himself into the corner and cry, he wanted only to be reassured by the gentle hands of the humans that had rescued him. It was clear even then that beneath his worry was a dog who longed for love and connection.
With time, patience, and care, Marek began to realise that brighter days were ahead. Slowly but surely, his confidence grew, and his true personality started to blossom. Now, he’s a playful and joyful companion who loves nothing more than running around and enjoying life. Watching Marek embrace his new beginnings is something truly special.
