We’d like you to meet Ella, a 6-year-old mixed breed who has overcome so much in her life. Rescued from the Lancram kill shelter in Romania, Ella arrived at Just For Dogs with a traumatic injury to her right eye. Despite her rough start, Ella quickly showed what a sweet, loving soul she is—waiting patiently for a family to give her a second chance.
After five months of waiting at the rescue, Ella finally found her forever home. She was welcomed into a loving family who quickly fell for her gentle nature. But Ella’s journey didn’t end there. Her right eye injury, which had left her completely blind in that eye, needed further medical attention. After a visit to the vet, it became clear that the best option for her comfort and long-term health was to have the eye removed entirely.
We are thrilled to report that Ella’s surgery was a complete success! The procedure went smoothly, and she is now recovering comfortably at home with her forever family. It’s such a relief to see Ella finally free of the pain that had been holding her back. Already, she is moving around more confidently and enjoying life to the fullest.
